Emperor Geese are capable to survive very cold conditions. We keep ours in a sheltered outdoor enclosure all 12 months of the year. Like other Geese can be aggressive during breeding season. Outside of this, they can be kept in a mixed collection.
As of 2021 season these no longer require a permit to keep in Canada.
